Dorris

Dorris came from a litter that Margaret found being dumped in a garbage bin in a cardboard box by an Englishman visiting Grenada. When one of his dogs had a litter of four during his stay, he decided to simply put them out with the garbage.

When Margaret found him doing this, she immediately took them away from him. They were so young that their eyes could not yet open. Margaret fed them and kept them warm, taking them to work with her every day, carried in a bucket as they needed constant care and feeding. Eventually, their eyes opened and they became strong enough to stay at home.

So, Dorris came to be part of the family and now shares a kennel with her best friend Alexander The Great. Dorris’ three siblings were given to people Margaret knew could care for animals and are all still happy and in good health.
